For some odd reason I thought Tuesday was the sixth. I was at work today when I realized what had happend. Again, sorry about that. Yeah, so now we know a little bit more about what's going on and why Neltark is sent to a prison planet. Seems to be a bit of a conspiracy here... And congratulations to Steve's the outer circle. It is one year old today. Which now that I think about it is kind of a strange coincedence. Neltark and Willie debuted on the first anniversary of Bored and Evil and now the "second issue" of N&W starts on the first anniversary of Steve's comic. And both days just happened to be a seventh! Very strange... And I some how injured my back at work today and I am in excruciating pain, so I'm gonna ago now. I had my harddrive replaced and more ram added and everything seemed to be going pretty good. I've had to reinstall a number of programs and all that jazz. Then last night I had some programs start to shut down and they would not reopen. So I figured I'd just restart my computer. No dice. Now it won't even start up. I ust get to stare at a gray screen. Really sucks. So now I'm on Peekaboo's computer so I can give you guys a heads up. Hopefully I'll be able to get it fixed soon. I have had a wicked case of writer's block as well as a bad case of being hooked on "Nintendo Crack" (otherwise known as "Animal Crossing: Wide World). And even though I have two jobs, I'm actually a lazy punk. I gotta make a New Year's resolution to make sure my comics are updated in time... Yeah, so the gang and I exchanged our Christmas presents tonight. I got Steve the second box set for "Chobits" thus completing the series for him. For Amanda I gave her a book about the top 101 Broadway shows of al time. Peekaboo got the uncut version of "Harold & Kumar." I got a DVD of the movie ""Noises Off, which is very, very funny, from Amanda, a mini-fridge for my room from Steve (that way I won;t have to walk all the way downstairs to get a soda in the middle of the night. And speaking of soda... Peekaboo got me Criss Angel's Quarter Through Soda Can DVD (where he teaches how to do this illusion...). Can't wait to try that out on someone. Oh, I had a customer at my store tell me this joke yesterday: Q: "How do you get a magician to show you a hundred card tricks?" A: "You ask him to show you one." I was really happy with the way the comic turned out. I had jokingly told Steve at dinner tonight that I was gonna keep doing the comic like this from now on. It gets done much faster that way ;o) Now I don't recall if I've mentioned this before but Neltark and Willie was not my first choice of characters to do a webcomic about. The comic I really want to do is Captain Bugg who makes a second cameo appearance today in Neltark and Willie. Captain Bugg has also had a couple of cameos in Bored and Evil some of which can be seen Here, Here and Here (that's Capatain Bugg's logo on Joe's shirt...). Hopefully one day when I feel he's ready I'll unleash Captain Bugg upon the world. But for now, let's enjoy Neltark and Willie... By the way, I've bee meaning to share this with you earlier. It's from an early Neltark and Willie comic I did way back in '95. It was just one page (which I never finished coloring... a bad habit of mine) that has Neltark freaking out over the fact that Willie got them a job working for Nodak (who will feature in the comic in the future). This comic also had two firsts. One) we haven't found out yet so I'm not gonna menton it here, Two) one of Neltark's mannerisms (where he raises his fingers to his chin). Next month will be a Neltark and Willie Holiday Special ( I promise, no singing Bea Arthur or Carrie Fisher). I'll admit I'ma bit nervous about it as it will have a completely different look. But it should be fun! And through the month of December I will be working on upgrading the first couple of pages of the comic (the ones I did before I learned Illustrator) for publication. But that won't be until after the New Year... On another note, the gang and I went to go see the film version of "Rent" the other night. For my thoughts on the film Click Here. I'm trying to get things wrapped up for what will eventually be the first issue of the comic book. I'm also planning a Neltark and Willie Christmas Special. It's gonna run through the whole month of December. I still have to do some tests for the artwork and all (it's all gonna be hand drawn and colored). Should be pretty sweet (or a major disaster... but I'll have fun either way). And a couple of congratulations: First to Clay Held of Kid Twisted for publishing his 100th comic. Good job and keep up the good work! Hope to see a thousand more. And congratulations to Steve of the outer circle for the smashing debut of Dueling Analogs! Just can't wait to see his next project set to debut next summer! Lastly, today is my niece's third birthday. Unfortunately I had to miss her party on Saturday (I had to do a Christmas parade and a magic show that day), but hopefully I'll get to stop by tonight. Happy birthday Hannah!
